Open Badges Issuer: Northstar Digital Literacy
The Northstar Digital Literacy project is a collaborative charged with providing opportunities for basic digital literacy training, including the Saint Paul Public Library, the St. Paul Community Literacy Consortium, the Minnesota Department of Education/Adult Basic Education, Literacy Minnesota (formerly the Minnesota Literacy Council), the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development/ Adult Career Pathways, and community-based organizations. The organizations first convened to create a set of shared standards defining digital literacy, and then developed interactive online assessments based on those standards. Northstar is a program of Literacy Minnesota, whose mission is to share the power of learning through education, community building and advocacy.
